Douglas Maffei PhD
Business Analyst
Douglas completed a BSc at King’s College London and a scholarship-funded PhD at Royal Holloway University of London, both in Molecular Genetics. One outcome of his Doctoral research was the discovery of a new gene related to plant signalling, soon to be published. Driven by an avid interest in scientific commercialisation, he won top prizes in numerous entrepreneurial and business competitions. Douglas also worked as a Marketing and Brand Consultant for a start-up biotechnology company on the international launch of two new products.
Douglas graduated in 2009 before joining J&D Associates as a Business Analyst where he works in Forecasting and Business Analytics as well as Clinical Evaluations to support consulting projects.
